Whenever we approach designing a tablescape, we are considering all the elements that will go into the design and the ways they will play off of and balance each other. From the place settings to the centerpiece decor, every detail is part of the larger conversation we try to bring to life with each of our designs. We have a lot of fun picking out each of these elements, but in today’s blog post we are honing in on a particular piece of the design puzzle that brings color and texture to every look we create - the linens!

Because linens often form the bottom layer of a tablescape (a.k.a the tablecloth), it is all too easy to overlook the endless possibilities that are available to you. But make no mistake - you can completely transform the impact your design makes depending on your linen choices! There are tablecloths of endless colors and textures, table runners, napkins, and of course the additional possibilities when you layer more than linen together to form an entirely new look. To really show off what we love to do when playing on the “linen playground”, we are sharing this festival-themed sweetheart table that features linens from White Table Specialty Linens right here in Chattanooga! For this design, not only did we grab this stunning crushed and shimmery deep teal tablecloth (does anyone else get mermaid tail vibes?) and contrast it with the vibrant yellow napkin, but the real show stopper was the way we layered organza chair sashes of all different colors to cascade off the front of the table. Obviously not what they are typically used for, but we are always up for thinking outside of the box, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results!
