Our team is looking for a results-driven, client-focused Event Rental Sales & Design Specialist to join our team. This role will work directly with clients, guiding them through the rental selection and design process - ultimately helping our clients bring their event visions to life while driving bookings and revenue growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced work flow, has excellent organizational skills, and enjoys working closely with clients to create memorable events and accomplish sales goals in a high volume and deadline-driven environment.

Position Details:

  • Part Time Position 

  • 15 - 30 hours per week

  • Hours must be completed M-F between the hours of 9am-5pm, but there is some flexibility on when within those parameters the hours are completed. Within this flexibility, a consistent schedule will be nailed down.

  • Occasional participation in networking events, venue open houses, etc. outside of normal working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary sales representative for clients, providing expert guidance on rental selection and event design to drive bookings and revenue.

  • Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets, average order value (AOV) goals, proposal conversion rates, initial response rates, follow up rates, and other sales metric expectations.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and manage a consistent pipeline of leads to support sales goals.

  • Create rental contracts in provided CRM software, obtain payments, and ensure timely follow-up on all proposals to maximize conversion.

  • Track and manage active proposals, following up according to company standards to support booking targets.

  • Assist clients with designing tablescapes, lounge packages, and other event layouts, ensuring selections meet both client vision and sales objectives.

  • Manage and host client showroom appointments, guiding clients through rental selection and design options while maintaining a strong showroom-to-booking conversion rate.

  • Collaborate with internal staff to communicate event details and ensure smooth execution.

  • Follow up with clients post-event to request reviews, referrals, and event photos, contributing to future sales opportunities.

  • Obtain all Will-Call, Delivery, and Retrieval details from clients 30 days prior to each event.

  • Participate in periodical local marketing and networking events, engaging with clients and vendor partners face to face.

  • Proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals. Comfortable with sales metrics and performance expectations.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create a positive and professional client experience.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients, proposals, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced work flow.

  • Strong time management and follow up discipline, ensuring leads and proposals are consistently nurtured through the sales process

  • Ability to think creatively and visually when assisting clients with event design, tablescapes, lounge groups, and other rental selections.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented when managing client requests or last-minute changes.

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly revenue targets through effective sales conversations and proposal management.

  • Maintaining a strong proposal conversion rate by proactively following up with clients and guiding them confidently through the booking process.

  • Achieving or surpassing average order value (AOV) goals by helping clients thoughtfully expand their rental selections and event design.

  • Responding to new inquiries promptly and professionally, maintaining company standards for response time and follow-up communication.

  • Managing a high volume of leads, proposals, and client communications while staying organized and detail-oriented.

  • Delivering a high-quality showroom experience, resulting in a strong showroom-to-booking conversion rate.

  • Providing clients with creative guidance on tablescapes, lounge groupings, and event layouts that align with both their vision and their budget.

  • Building strong relationships with clients and vendor partners that lead to positive reviews, referrals, and repeat business.

Compensation:

  • Hourly base pay: $16 - $20 per hour, with final rate determined based on experience and qualifications.

  • Commission opportunities: Additional earnings available through a commission structure tied to rental bookings and sales performance.
